One of my favorite quotes is by Thomas Jefferson (it's even in my sidebar here) "In matters of style, swim with the current; in matters of principle, stand like a rock. - Thomas Jefferson"

The other day I had posted this on FB:
CNN is talking about this Israel / Gazza / Palestine war / not war whatever... They keep saying most Americans side with Israelis... blah blah blah. Dude this stuff has been happening for so long I don't even know / care why it's happening. I side with no one except all of those poor innocent people on ALL sides who are getting bombed for NO reason. I side with no war, how about that. I side with letting the people "in charge" being put into a room and fighting it out hand to hand and letting the kids get a good night sleep without being worried about dying in their beds.

Since then it feels like the war/not war aspect has really taken over the news even more and BLAMO, I now see even more, everywhere how I must side with this side to be a good American or be a good Christian (I don't identify myself with any religion and have friends of all religions, so I'm safe there). This pisses me off more and more. To be some good American or good this or GOOD anything I have to believe this and that and this and that -- and it's all stuff trying to justify, let's face it, that picture / video of the bloody baby I just saw. Screw that. I guarantee you there are people living in that area of all religions praying to whoever or to no one, who don't give a crap about these issues, who just want food for their babies, who just want their babies to wake up -- to not be bombed. They're the ones paying for this stupid stuff. And I'm supposed to be a good Christian American and support the "right" side or I'm buying into some media or Muslim or whatever propaganda or blah blah blah. How about no! How about I side with NO ONE but that innocent baby or woman or man who don't want to be a part of this whether they are Jewish or Muslim or no religion (yeah, I am sure those exist even there).

Quit telling me what I have to believe to be a good American. Sorry I'm not a Christian, and that pisses you off. I'm trying to be a good human though. Yup, failed plenty, on this though, I'm pretty sure I am right.
